MEET KATRINE TURNER

I have a First Class BA (Hons) in Integrative Relational Counselling, which means that I am trained in using the therapeutic relationship to enact change.

My training has also encompassed many theories and ways of working so that I can choose which ones will be effective for you and tailor the therapy to your individual needs. My belief is that often it is how we are in relationship to ourselves and to others that can give clues as to how difficulties may have arisen. I help and support you to explore those relationships in the therapy room. I have also completed training in Mindfulness.

I worked in the City at an investment bank for many years before I decided to change career and become a full-time therapist. My clinical work has involved working for the NHS, working for a charity offering low-cost counselling and work-place counselling.

I have worked with clients suffering from depression, anxiety, OCD, bereavement, loss and relationship issues (amongst others), in a variety of settings. I have a particular interest in the effects that a boarding school education has on relationships in adult life.

I am a Accredited Member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and am bound by its ethical framework.
