HELPING YOU
FIND YOUR WAY

ABOUT

The decision to start counselling can be a hard one. Maybe you are not feeling like yourself, or maybe your relationship is not the same as it used to be.

It could be depression, anger issues, anxiety or the fact that your life is not going the way you’d like it to. Counselling offers a safe, confidential space for you to talk about your feelings without judgement. The support that I offer through the therapeutic process can help you find your way back to the life you’d imagined. We will work together to explore what is holding you back in the present and how you can move forward in the future. Together we will work on helping you find your true north.

In the first session, we’ll meet to discuss what you need and whether we would like to work together. After this session, we will meet regularly once a week for 50 minutes. I offer both short and long term therapy and we can discuss what feels right for you.

I work with adults, young people (aged 17+) and the elderly from my private practice in Wimbledon Village.

MEET KATRINE TURNER

I have a First Class BA (Hons) in Integrative Relational Counselling, which means that I am trained in using the therapeutic relationship to enact change.

My training has also encompassed many theories and ways of working so that I can choose which ones will be effective for you and tailor the therapy to your individual needs. My belief is that often it is how we are in relationship to ourselves and to others that can give clues as to how difficulties may have arisen. I help and support you to explore those relationships in the therapy room. I have also completed training in Mindfulness.

I worked in the City at an investment bank for many years before I decided to change career and become a full-time therapist. My clinical work has involved working for the NHS, working for a charity offering low-cost counselling and work-place counselling.

I have worked with clients suffering from depression, anxiety, OCD, bereavement, loss and relationship issues (amongst others), in a variety of settings. I have a particular interest in the effects that a boarding school education has on relationships in adult life.

My fee per session is £50, concessions are available, please contact for details

I am a Member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and am bound by its ethical framework.

Please do contact me on 07732 977465 or email katrine@truenorthcounselling.co.uk for more information.
